Ya know, I kept waiting for that too. I had a 9 lb girl a year ago, and I never got kicked in the ribs. I even went 1 week past my due date too. And she was in the right position (not breech). And I'm short. If anyone should feel this, you'd think it'd be me. But I didn't, so, no, all pregnant women don't feel their baby kick against their ribs.

I can't remember how far along I was for me to many years but yes later in the pregancy I have had 5 kids and this has happened to me each time. and not only just a kick you wait until the baby puts his/her foot up against your ribs and pushes it up against your ribs. When this happens you may be able to move the feet but if the baby feels comfortable with his/her feet/foot there you may not be the winner as with me all my kids would do this and it can be uncomfortable but just remind you this is all part of the joys of pregnancy.

My daughter did not do this but my son let me just say there were days I wanted to reach up in there and pull him out myself, he kicked my ribs so hard!!! Don't worry it won't last forever, my guy is 5 months old now, just got his first teeth, is rolling around, and sometimes I wish he was still in me kicking my ribs. The grass is always greener I say. Although now I get rewarded with a smile and that is the best! Congrats and good luck

It is normal to feel your baby kick you around the ribs. I'm currently 32 weeks and I also feel it. Be glad that you still feel the movement of your baby.

Every baby is different. My first son lived UNDER my ribs -- OMG did that hurt!! My daughter was so low, I thought she was going to fall out. So, your baby is doing what is right for him/her to do.
