Yes - I listen to music all the time. I feel lost without the radio on. I also sing a lot - that makes me feel good too.

I think that if there is magic in music it comes from the intention of the performer and the needs/desires of the listener. From a more practical standpoint, medical research has established that using music in therapy and in conjunction with other things such as meditation can cause you to heal faster and feel better emotionally while you are healing, which assists the healing process. The proper music can decrease stress which will make you healthier and music has even been found useful in teaching children with Autism and conduct disorders like ADHD and ODD to control their behaviors better. So, is there magic in music? That depends on what you call magic.

I've been a musician for over 10 years now and have been a producer for 5.
yes sort of i guess, but i wouldn't call it "magic". When people write music and they know what they're doing, they're writing their emotion and their thoughts. that's why different songs make you feel different emotions.
Once, my boyfriend sang "you are my sunshine" to me and as corny as the song is, i cried because i knew that he really meant it. music and songs are parts of our emotions, so yes, there is a bit of "magic" in them.

Absolutely! Music can make us laugh or make us cry. It can make us dance, or it can make us fall in love. (Who remembers dancing to Hoagy Carmichael's 'Stardust'. Was that special or what?)
Music attaches itself to special moments and special memories as well -- and who can sit still when a brass band starts playing a march? Or stop their toes from tapping when the fiddles play an irish jig?
Yes, there is magic in music.

I would definitely agree with you. Not only are there songs that make you feel good but there are other types of music that provoke different emotions. I know when I listen to Pantera I wanna kick some a-s-s.

I just know that if I sing along to music at home or work I feel good.
You just can't be in a bad mood when you are singing along to a great tune.

“Music is what feelings sound like.”
“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”
“Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.”
Pablo Casals quotes
