I just got a phone call from a 614 area code. Since I didn't recognize the # I pretended I was someone else. The person on the other end said I needed to notify Travis(me) that he had been "red flagged" and if he didn't contact a phone # within 24hrs they would take further action. Does anyone know what this could possibly be about? What does red flaggged mean?

I wouldn't call them back, sounds like someone messing with you. If they call back, be stern with them and don't let them push you around. It's probably a scam. Don't give them any information.

Keep the number...go to a pay phone or use a phone card and call them back and ask. Don't use your home phone since you don't know what its about. Then ask them what they mean by red flagged. You might want to find out what they mean by "further action" more then "red flagged." I would not give them any information until you know who they are and everything.

It sounds to me like someone was trying to scam you. Scaring people is a favorred tactic into making intended victims give up private info so they can steal your identity and rob you blind.

It sounds like a wrong number or a scam. Forget about it.

It is a scam. If you call them back they will try to get hold of your credit card details.
