Are you asking about content or presentation?

Regarding presentation, PowerPoint is an excellent tool to use. ^_~
As far as speaking in front of crowds goes, if i have to give a speach, first, i practice insanely until i know the lines beginning with the last line, and working my way up to the first line.

I also practice speaking in front of other people and not just by myself.

Another thing i do (which might be hard to do since this is a seminary) If i am supposed to give a verbal presentation, i sit in front of an empty classroom (after getting their early) and i say my presentation over and over again to empty chairs. As my classmates begin to enter the class i keep practicing out loud until it is time for class to start. By this point, i'm no longer nervous. ^_^

I realize this might not be an option for you. In that case, Be overprepared ^_~ It will help keep your anxiety levels down.

Good luck!

If you are talking about a seminar topic that deals with politics and technology, here are two suggestions.

1. Technological advances have made it easier to conduct domestic surveillance to fight the war on terror. On the good side, this may make us safer. On the other hand, it is difficult to safeguard against rights abuses based on the use of the technology. You could address the issue of where the line ought to be drawn between safety and rights (in light of emerging technology).

2. Technology makes it easier than ever to stay informed about political events. However, not all pod casts, blogs and other other nontraditional media outlets are created equal. Do emerging information technologies (like this one, for example) make people better citizens in a democracy or do they lower knowledge by spreading false information.

Just a couple of thoughts. Hope this helps.
