have u ever seen velvet in real life..the cloth velvet looks soft5 and rich in color...
so velvet makeup usually about the lips..is the way the makeup looks on ur lips a nice velvety color soft and rich
its matte(flat) not glossy or shiny

"Velvet" is the consistency in which the product's finish appears. For example, glossy will have a shine, matte will have no shine, sheer will be thin, velvet will be thicker and smoother. Velvet's consistency will be more coverage, this applies for lipstick, foundation, powder, etc.
