dr says im almost there...?

Question

called the dr today about some pain im having...she said it looks like im almost there...i dont want to seem impatient but does anyone have any idea what that might be implying?? does that mean it could be a few weeks or is it something that could be tonight?? im ready to have this baby...im 37 weeks along...

Could be anytime from now til 40 wks. Some things that helped induce my labor was eating fresh pineapple, walking, and soaking in warm (not hot)baths. You can't soak in the bath if you've lost your mucus plug though. These things started regular contractions which helped to dialate my cervix and send me to the hospital. I've also heard eating spicy food helps, but it didn't do anything for me except give me heartburn. Good luck and don't forget a camera!!

Well, your baby is almost due; therefore "almost there". You won't be in labor until you've feel contractions that are maximum 5 minutes apart and you've dialated 10 cm. Even if your water breaks, it doesn't mean that the baby is ready to come out. However, if it does happen, make sure you tell your doctor.

My Dr would tell me any day now. It is really hard to predict when a baby will come. I would say you have any where from a few days to weeks.

My doctor told me that at 37 weeks too. They are just trying to encourage you to hang in there.. I am due Thursday and still no baby..

I asked myself that a thousand times. No one knows it could be tonight or u could be 2 weeks late!!! only god knows
