The stainless steel noion works, but if you don't have one readily avaialible, try rinsing your hands in vinegar followed by a warm water wash in your favorite scented antibacterial soap. Next time, try wearing gloves or using a plastic baggies over your hands to cut down on the odor.

Irritating isn't it!! You cook a delicious romantic meal for a loved one and you stink of onions all night!!
I've got a little thing that looks like a metal bar of soap, its called a nonion, and you just rub this on your hands and strangely it works!! So the stainless steel suggestion might work!!

Washing your hands with a piece of stainless steel silverware usually does the trick. Using your everyday spoon while you wash will get rid of the smell.
