you cant but ginger helps, some gingersnap cookies, eatting light snacks avoiding hard to digest foods. Also lemon is a good stomach settler, so drink water with lemon. Also pepermint chew some mint gum or suck on a pepermint candy. I drank ginger ale it helped. Also for me if I felt sick I wouldnt eat but I found out that if I forced myself to eat soda crackers with tiny bites my stomach settled, it wasnt perfect but I didnt feel like hanging around the toilet the rest of the afternoon lol.

I'm sorry hun, but there's no cure. By your 2nd trimester it should die down a lot. I'm in my 2nd trimester also and my morning sickness is nowhere near as bad as it was the 1st trimester. But every woman is different. Talk to your doctor and see if she can give you some medicine to help with the nausea (Phenadoz did wonders for me). If you can do some exercise, that will help, and just walking around the nieghborhood will be good for you too. Good luck!!

Unisom & vit B 6.....
I wish I had know about it with my 1st daughter, but I have a new OBGYN ( a much better one) with this baby! This is from the hand out that my Dr's office gave me:
"The only drug the US FDA has declared to be safe and effective for morning sickness (Bendectin) may be marketed again as Diclectin by a Canadian firm. Until then, you get the same thing by taking Vit B6 25-50mg twice a day and Unisom (doxylamine, an antihistamine) one at bedtime and 1/2 in the morning. This combination works best as a preventative, so take it routinely."
I personally only take 1/2 a Unisom at night and skip the day one or I would be asleep all the time!
Works Great!!

Sorry hun but no cure. I am in my 5th month and still sick, sometimes I wanna strangle people who say I never got sick. My doc prescribed nausea pills and I was throwing up all day long now its down to about once a day. Try eating pretzels. The salt does it for me. Good Luck!!

No cure, just learn what your body can tolerate. Unfortunately, some women are sick the entire 9 months. Good luck and I hope all goes better soon. PS -- you might have a touch of the flu this time of year.

you can call your OB/GYN and ask for some anti-nausea pills...but i had Hyperemisis Gravidarum during my pregnancy and the pills or suppositories didnt work...the only thing that helped me calm the nausea was ginger tablets, Sprite and Hot Tamales(the candy) and i had morning sickness from 5 weeks till the day I had my daughter...just one of the things that comes with being pregnant

I was sick until my fourth month!!! Infact I was hospitalized several times for dehydration. There is medicine (suppositories) that your Doctor can prescribe. Otherwise, saltine crackers and gingerale. (Didn't work for me but that's what everyone says should work)!!

I had to get Zofran from my ob/gyn. It will not hurt the baby. I took it throughout my 35wk pg with twins.
