no, i got that e-mail months ago. I never got a check nor did any of my friends...
its just a huge joke....

I believe that would be SPAM. People have hacked into Microsoft before, so I wouldn't suggest opening it. If Microsoft was going to send you a check, it would be because you have been in contact with them, about some refund or something and they would either call you in person or send you something in the mail.

Total scam all the way. There is no way to track a forwarded e-mail. This bogus e-mail has been circling the Internet for several years in different forms. Note the e-mail links below:

I agree with groove, I too got that same email only I've gotten it 5 times in the past 1 year. It is a complete scam.
