I turned the lights on in my car at night the instrument panel didn't turn on. I moved the dimmer switch back and fourth to see if it was that, but nothing came on. The headlights work, but none of the lights work that light up the instrument panel turn on at night.

Most likely it's a fuse. In many makes they have seperate fuses for all of this but in some models the dash lights are configured in with your park lights. Turn your lights on and see if you have the park lights as well. The fuse box can be located in a number of places. Look in the glove box first. if not there then look under the dash on the drivers side or on the side of the dash on the driver's side. Some have fused under the hood as well. They will all have an access panel on them. the access panel will show on the inside the fuses and what they go to.
