im not sure if the word is latin, greek, french, italian or whatever. im just sure its not english.

It's italian,and means TWENTY but also WINDS (it's the plural the word wind)

It is Italian for twenty (your first respondent was probably thinking of "vieni", which does mean come here). Starbucks decided it would be a cute name for their twenty-ounce-sized drinks, but to me it's relyy silly--going into a coffee place and ordering a "twenty"! I hope nobody tries ordering a coffee that way in Italy--all they'd get was a blank stare.

(P.S.: "Latte" is just the Italian word for milk. My friend ordered a latte in Rome and was served a glass of milk--which is what she had ordered! She thought they were just being rude...:)
