St. Louis isn't in a county...It's an Independent City...it is it's own little district in missouri basically..still part of the state, but it's run differently than the state.....something like that. Whoever says it is a part of St. Louis COUNTY is WRONG because it's not.

St. louis County and the country stretches out very far well into the burbs!! And depending on what part of St. louis people refer to your town as West county, South county etc...

Why do you keep asking that. St. Louis City is in St Louis county. There are some outlying communities one may refer to as St. Louis that are not. Some of these are outside of St. Louis county. Some of these couties are North couty, South Couty, West Couty, and St. Charles County.
