The drummer was an unlisted studio musician under contract with Mercury Records. His playing on the song "The Stroll" influenced many drummers due to the 1 & 2,3 snare hits with a cymbal ride in 16th notes. The song was a Dick Clark suggestion when the dance The Stroll was a big deal on American Bandstand.
