First. Calm down. If you are pregnant, it is not the end of the world. The second line could be light because it has only been 2 days since your period was supposed to start. The only way to know for sure is to go to the doctor or clinic for a pregnancy test. I recommend the clinic. They deal with this stuff all the time. If it turns out you are pregnant, they can inform you of all your options. Please, everything will be all right, one way or the other. I was 16 when I got pregnant with my first child. He is 21 now. Talk about anxiety! I was scared to death, especially of what my family would think. They didn't stop loving me, and were very supportive. Hang in there. Don't panic. Good luck.

Well, you story sounds familiar to one of my stories I had a year ago. I took a pregnancy test and it showed up two lines except one line was very light. Turned out to be that no matter if they show up dark or light, your pregnant. My nurse said that the reason it shows up light is because it's really early, so the test is makin a "guess". I would wait at least another week and take another one to know for sure.

Yes you are most likely pregnant. Use protection if you do not want to be a mom!
Early signs of pregnancy:
Spotting
Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom
These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs.

I took 3 home preg tests faint lines as well, im 5 weeks prego, you young and i know you were careful but dont see it as you have to pay the price now, cause a baby is a gift from god, not everyone has that ability to have a baby, a lot of girls cant conceive remember that if you have "abortion" in your head. Not my body but please dont if you are, if you dont want it at least give it up for adoption so that someone else can take care of it, but if your women enouph to face up to it, you and your child will be proud that you made that choice. Think about it, and go to the doctor. I still havent told my parents and you know what they are going to be mad but they wont kill me, all they can do is be mad and scream all they want, but they will love it when its born.

So I broke the news through a birthday card that said happy bithday grandpa!! well at first he was in shock, then he was like WHAT!?!?!?!?! then after 20 mintues he was happy. Now that babys almost here he's helping me and the babys father (we've been together 4 1 year 5 months) by buying my baby everything. He can't wait to have his 1'st grandson. If your scared thats ok, have a friend be there with you when you break the new's it's less tense that way!!

Katie pregnancy tests can show false positives especially if you are on the pill. I would recommend you schedule a doctor's appointment to get a test done. they will either do a urine test or blood test depending on what medications you take. I take a medication besides birth control that can cause a false positive on test in addition to making my birth control less effective. So I had to take a blood test where they drew a blood sample to test for hormone levels that indicate pregnancy. It isn't painful and is more reliable than a home pregnancy test. Also in the future if you are on medications that lower your birth controls effectiveness please use a back up birth control method such as a condom your doctor can tell you if any medications you take lower birth control's effectiveness.

Don't be scared. I am 18 also. I am not pregnant, yet. But me and my husband just started trying a month ago. I can't imagine being in your place, but all I can say is if you are pregnant for sure just be totally up front with your parents. Sure you didn't plan this but you have to start thinking about you and your baby. A baby is truely a blessing from the Lord, no matter what situtation you are in.
Sorry if my reply isn't what you wanted to hear. I will be praying for you and your baby. I will also pray that your parents will be receptive to the news.

A line is a line, honey. Sounds like you are pregnant. Go to your doctor right away to get a blood test to make sure.
It will be okay, my dear. You have plenty of options (including abortion, adoption, maternity homes, and parenthood) and you and your boyfriend should discuss them carefully. Don't let anyone push you into doing anything you don't want to do or don't feel is right. Your family may be upset initially, but in the end they love you and will support you.
Good luck!
