It may not be legally stealing but isn't it morally stealing? Isn't taking something that you have no reason to believe is yours theft?

Seriously though, it isnt stealing. Plus consider the person that dropped it-- that person at some point in life, has probably picked up money off the ground.

Of course not! This is the most important thing you have to worry about? Why not take the quarter a put it in a donation box somewhere. Then you can get on to more important things.

Since the quarter has obviously been lost, it belongs to no one, so it's not stealing, it's finding.

well if you just saw it laying there and nobody do anything , no its not stealing. plus its just a quarter , it wont do any harm to anyone, now if it was a 1,000,000 thats a different story.
