Im not sure I understand your question, but one part of it I know. Abraham Lincoln did not free the slaves for the sake of freedom. He freed the slaves for soldiers to fight in his army. He knew if he freed them they would gladly fight for him against the confederate army. If you look deep into the annals of history, you'll see a lot of things that history class in schools bend to better fit what they you should know. Always question your teacher and the writer of your history books opinions. They might not be your own.
