because there wayy easier and much less messy then pads....and it doesnt feel like your wearing a diaper!

Well, I'm on the swim-team, so I have to use them due to our coaches not allowing us to skip out on a whole week of practice due to menstrual problems. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about them. How often to you hear a woman who's cause of death was a tampon? I've been using tampons for the past three years, and as long as you don't keep them in for more than four hours and as long as you don't put more than one in, they're safe. I also use the ones with the lowest absorbency. But I CAN see why you're asking this question because tampons CAN be dangerous. When I'm not swimming, I always just use pads. But Toxic Shock Syndrome is extremely rare, so I wouldn't stress too much about it.

because the alternative is pads and I would die happily rather than wear one of those fat, nasty, wet, gooshy, filthy things.
Cammi- uneducated decisions? I am absolutely educated about the risks involved in using tampons. If you want your cooch to be bloody, slimy and smelly, go right ahead and rock those pads, but don't insult those of us who choose to use the more sanitary alternative.

Because pads are uncomfortable and inconvenient. If you don't want to wear tampons, then don't wear them. Everyone else has both the right and the option to use whatever feminine products they choose.

Don't really know. I guess it is a personal choice and looking at other answers uneducated decisions to use them. I steer clear of them personally.

That's really embarassing to die from using a tampon.

Because they make your periods a lot less messy!!!
There are way more deaths caused by car wrecks but I bet you still get in a car!

because they want to or because they think its better... your body is meant for your period to flow out not stay cooped up in ur body its waste so yes that is y ppl get tss and all that..u cant tell no one to stop smoking , sky diving, or drinking they do what they want even know they know the side effects it causes...
