I think many people in the UK think this way. It's totally wrong that these asylum seekers should be put into this privileged position where they get all these things at the tax payers' expense. Little wonder there is all this animosity. If these folk find work over here and earn their phones, cars ,houses and they pay their taxes that's fine but spongers and scroungers should not be encouraged to come here. The British people have all on taking care of their own lives. You should carry on working because at the end of the day you can hold your head up high and be proud that you have worked for what you have and not sponged off others. One day these politicians will realise that Britain is fast on a downward spiral and do something about it.

It is frustrating when you see that happening around you but it should give you pride that you work for what you have. Don't be fooled by the hype, though. My city is over run by asylum seekers and I wouldn't want their life. If you went to Russia, imagine how you would feel not being able to read, write or communicate with people and can't survive without theiving. My sister-in-law is Croatian and she is here working hard legally because she is afraid to go home. Some asylum seekers are genuine. People born in this country scam the system too, they need sorting out but seem to have been forgotten because society finds it easier to be xenophobic. Besides, my life isn't about posh cars, phones and clothes. I'm just grateful I have a secure home. Envy and ignorance is what causes most problems in the world. Maybe you should volunteer in a homeless shelter, then you'll realise how much you REALLY have.

Asylum seekers are not allowed to work they are given certain amount of benefits but it is lower than Britih peoples. Once Given status an asylum seeker becomes a refugge's and can then earn aliving along with anyone else. Have you considered that the people you meet are not asylum seekers but immigrants, people who choose to come and live here, who set up businesses and commercial enterprises. You are free to live and owrk in any EU country and free to move between them, you are free to move to an EU country and recive benefits from that state as well after usually 3 months.

People on dole and asylum seekers may get rent paid, benefits, free medicine, etc. But they don't get to live a fulfilling life and get to have the luxuries that people who work their butt off have. Have you ever seen a scrounger (for want of a better phrase) happy? A lot of them waste their money on alcohol, cigarettes, and sometimes drugs.
Then they take up hospital beds (which we've contributed towards with N.I contributions) complaining of lung cancer, liver problems etc...
We should send all bad immigrants and dole scroungers to a far away island, then Britain would become a wealthy prosperous country.

Just where are all these 'living-in-luxury' asylum seekers? They are not allowed to work, most of them are living in poverty. Some of them may be working in the 'Black' economy, for below minimum wage & there-fore have to work very long hours just to scrape by.The asylum-seekers who come here risk everything, including their lives to get here,do you really think they don't want to work & send money home to help their families? The worst criminals & biggest scroungers in this country are born & bred here,so lay off the asylum-seekers.

It aint easy being an asylum seeker.
You imagine trying to keep a bunch of teenage "Working Girls" in order, collecting money dishing out protection etc trying to match supply and demand on your pharmacutical importation, (drug), business and trying to keep your contacts in the Kalishnikov appreciation society of Smolensk or somesuch sweet enough to supply good clean AK47s with 500 rpg when required no questions asked, and then when all this is working the bloody tide comes in early, you loose an entire tides worth of Morecombe Bay Cockles. And then the blokes dont turn up for the next tide.
Not my idea of fun

I characterize asylum seekers and refugees interior the united kingdom. I even have been doing this pastime for over 5 years now and that i've got observed a dramatic shrink interior the style of entrants into the united kingdom for the time of the final 2 years. the abode place of work (additionally now ordinary simply by fact the Border and Immgration administration) are interior the flexibility of beginning 'keeping centres' (comparable to the present 8 or 9 detention centres already in place) for clean arrivals and have reported they're going to cope with all clean purposes for asylum and refugee prestige purposes interior six months of arrival. the numerous comments I even have study have been supportive and confirmed that some human beings are attentive to humanitarian matters in our international and are commapsssionate in direction of a reason i believe strongly approximately. Others, although, confirmed why the united kingdom, particulalry English, are recognized as an igonorant u . s .. (please observe i replaced into born in Kent and have lived interior the united kingdom all my existence). i think of a few human beings could have forgotton that in the time of WW2 places like Canada took uk Refugees until the tip of the conflict a number of you obvioulsy think of that all and sundry the human beings could desire to have been detained until the conflict replaced into over or that the Jews who fled right here of their hundreds could desire to have been detained (exceptionally those that had escaped from concentration camps simply by fact they have been used to being detained!). there are various stuff that make me proud to be English, the attitudes of a few in direction of people who had no selection in being born in international locations that are repressed by dictatorship or are conflict torn make me ashamed.

You must have better eyes than most of us, who have never seen anything like that.
Or is it just that every foreign looking person is a greedy asylum seeker in your eyes?
