No, they just don't care.
They think it's your own fault that you are poor. You must be lazy or something.

I'm a Libertarian (fiscal conservative/social liberal). I'd ask you why you are poor. Did you take advantage of the free, public schooling that is available in every state? Did you take advantage of the low-cost student loans to attend college or trade school? Did you make poor choices during your life that have saddled you with debt or a child at a young age?
What did you do to end up poor in the richest country in the world? Or are you a victim?

No but you should hate yourself for being a loser who cant succeed in a country where you have all the chances and abilities in the world to make a good life for yourself. Poor, poor liberal. You should blame someone else. It's much easier that way.
