the fact that you are asking the question leads me to believe you know the answer. I was always taught..when in doubt..dont do it..so what does your gut feeling tell you?

Different contexts, and it depends who you're talking to. A lot of older more reserved people will get offended at little slangs like that. But it's different to say it as "I was freaking out", it's a whole other meaning.
By the way...what did you mean in my last question by Mitchel Musso? I don't understand.

Technically I don't think it is, but some people don't like to use 'freakin'.
