No it's a site to download "torrent" files to use on the Bit Torrent network. It's a site to search for music/video/other stuff of interest. Bit torrent is a fast effective means of transferring files to multiple places at once.

no. it isn't. But that doesn't mean you cant get infected by going there. Torrentspy is a listing of torrents. Torrents are basically links. You save them from torrentspy and launch them from your hard drive. When that happens, a torrent client, that you downloaded and installed from the net, will launch and download the link to the file you requested. You can get illegal programs, music, or movies this way. Some of them could contain viruses. Torrentspy.com will not give you a virus just by going there. If you are a passive downloader and only download occasional files. I don't reccomend torrents. Unless you are using your computer as a server and have lot's of files available to download, torrrents download extremely slow. I've seen a 300 meg file take 9 hours, when i can get that in a couple of minutes by downloaded directly off the web. The more files you have up for share, the faster your downloads will be

Waycar111 has pretty much covered BitTorrent here so I'll just add this: what in the hell makes you think you can download commercial games free and legally *anywhere*? In what world does it make sense for a company to give away it's products for free on the internet while charging for them in shops? You can't download it for free legally *anywhere* because that would make no sense. Either buy it or accept the risk of viruses that comes with getting software for free.
