I use TalkTalk with "free" broadband. It's not up to speed yet. The speed tends to vary. But all broadband does. On a busy time it can go down to 300K but does go up to 2 meg. When the new ADSL equipment is in the exchanges I should get 8 meg. Have you had good or bad experiences with it? Do you think it's worth the money. £20.99 for free phone calls to the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Broadband? I'm not complaining. Even have my website. http://www.mike10613.talktalk.net. Opinions wanted!!!

Giving something "free" like Yahoo gives us free email and Answers "free" is called viral marketting. That is what TalkTalk is doing and 100,000 people a month are signing up. That is a problem too successful - people won't wait and every little problem gets blown out of all proportion. It will be a while with ADSL before it is at full speed DSL is run by cable TV companies - ADSL goes through BT exchanges.

I am on talk talk for land line and broadband, I have been told that I shall be receiving the 8 meg after Christmas, I have not had any problems at all, in fact I am quite pleased with the service that I receive, my phone bills with broadband are a lot cheaper than it was with BT. I would recommend them to any body who is thinking about having broadband.

Hope this answers your question.

We have talk-talk in both Somerset and Kent also my mother in-law has it and none of us have any problems it goes a bit slow sometimes, unlike my previous telewest BB (we cant get that in the areas we are now) equally somtimes its evenfaster than the cable 2mb I had before. Well worth the money.
We are all still on the 2mb connections.
We had NTL once and they were utter crap would never have anything to do with them again (telewest were still independant when we were with them)

Yeah... I stay with my Nan we've been given it back whilst it.replaced into tiscali. uncertain on our connection its the main inexpensive they say we are far removed from the get admission to factor so the internet is somewhat crap yet its sturdy for the fee.
