Try to get a phone number of a vet even if it is out your your way, and ask them over the phone..Our hamster died 3 weeks after he jump out of my friends hands and fell on the floor..He seemed ok but apparently there was something wrong internally...

Ummm... Your gerbil may have a brain injury. Sad to say, your vet will probably tell you to put it down since I can't imagine any vet doing brain surgery on a gerbil, if it would even help, not to mention it would cost as much as putting a kid through college. Keep a stiff upper lip on this one, I know it's sad, but it's a gerbil.

Your pet may have a concussion. A vet would be the only person to properly diagnose your pet. If he is drinking and eating that is a good sign though!

aw!!! he must be concussed, ultimate to take him to the rfile for a examine-up with any form of head harm as they tend to be the silent killers. examine his reactions and tell him to squeeze your palms extremely tight, then make him stick to your finger along with his eyes, until eventually you get to a doctor perhaps supply him some kiddy painkillers to help abit, wish he's advantageous and hasnt have been given a lump too extensive on his head!! xxx

awwww sounds like he got brain damage. if he doesnt get better, then i would say put him down to make sure he is not suffering. My hampster got out of his ball and fell a story off of our staircase. he had a broken leg, and he could barely walk. I had to take him to the vet to euthenize him. :( :(
