Sorry, the response about Susan's house is wrong.
A singular possessive means the possessive case for a singular pronoun or (in the case of Susan) a person.

Mine is a singular possessive pronoun. His is a singular possessive pronoun. Hers is a singular possessive pronoun. Theirs is a plural possessive pronoun.

The possessive is indicated by an apostrophe - as is the case with Susan's house. Susan house doesn't mean anything. If the house was owned by two women, each of whom was named Susan, the possessive plural would be Susans' house.
But you didn't ask about that, only about the singular possessive.
