I thought that all religions were at war anyway, doesn't matter what you believe if the next door Mormon church is telling someone something different to the catholic church. Then they will disagree and therefore be against each other - look at Ireland protestant vs catholic BOTH come under Christianity yet both hate each other so if the same religion's different denominations can't stop bickering and fighting (blowing each other up IRA??) then what chance do different religions have of being peace-full towards each other.

Obviously there are normal people that do not bother listening to the fanatics that provoke hatred and violence. However the church told everyone that the world was flat and everyone believed it (anyone who didn't was severely dealt with as a heretic). What chance do the people that want to get on with their lives without being fed some fanatics reason to blow everyone up when someone else will listen, obey then blow me up anyway.

The question we should all ask ourselves is should we fight back against all religion or let them be and suffer the consequences of their war?

no I dont think he wants a war at all, I am a muslim, but I also believe that everyone has a right to express their opinions, it does not mean that they are wrong or right, at the end of the day if other people no the facts then opinions will always remain opinions, at the end of the day as I said it was only a opinion, not a fact, its people who fight over it and go mad are the ones who want a war, the pope may have said his opinion out of context but at the end of the day if thats how he feels then whether or not he expreses it to the public, thats how he feels!!! and theirs nothing any one can do to change it

when the POPE made his comments, he was only exercising his freedom of speech, why is he not allowed to express his views, are Muslims so self centred that everything that some one says is discriminating to them, they need to just grow up, why do they find it necessary to kill the nun, why go about bombing churches, and hurting innocent people, and then they ask why there is such a negative view of Muslims ?
im not saying that all Muslims are bad, but it makes me so upset when i see people being hurt by such madness,

the pope was speaking his mind but he should have been aware of the millions of people who he has influenced - the ignorant blind followers who will take his opinion as gospel and like sheep make it their own! he should have put his words more intelligently - he has offended many! maybe because he is secure in the fact that Bush backs him in his opinion.

A clever and calculated PR stunt. Does it surprise you that he said it one month before visiting turkey? You know that trips going to go down badly, as opposed to if he hadn't said those comments.

A PR stunt to aid the oil hungry west and the terrorist state of Israel.

Grow up! He was reciting something that was said centuries ago about islam converting by the sword and violence. Wow, judging from the muslims response, I would have to say that he proved his point!

what credence can you set by a man who has never had any contact with the real world. He preaches to the world from the comfort of a palace while millions of his subjects are starving.

...and that has what exactly to do with the pregnancy topic?! Go into the politics section. We are on this topic exactly to try and avoid politics and then this crops up.
