I used to be really skinny, I was very unhealthy, and now I am at a normal weight, but the rapid weight gain caused me to get nasty red stretch marks on the top outside part of my thighs and some a little higher. I really sucks, I hate the way they look. Any suggetions on reducing the way they look?

Try Mederma, it's an over the counter gell that helps minimize the appearance of scars.

I've used it when I had knee surgery, and I was pretty impressed with the results.

But you have to be very disciplined in using it twice a day to get the best effects, also the sooner after the mark appears, the better.

I have some now too from, growing up (and out:) a little too fast on my thighs and hips. I used to be really embarrased by them, but then I when I got engaged, I found out my husband-to-be had them too. Now we just don't care and laugh about it. Sometimes I think that's been the best treatment for me.

best wishes

There is nothing that can reduce a stretch mark once you get them. All the products that they show do not do anything for them. All you can do is just live with them.

You can TRY those new scar and stretch mark reducer cream and pacthes. I used them and they didn't work for me.....but they may work for you. Other than that.....nothing I have ever tried has helped, but they do fade with time
