Personally, I do my best to learn about of people of all types.
Yes. I discriminate. I'm not ashamed of it either. I'll discriminate on quality of character and personal ability. Please see associated link. I do my best not do discriminate against physical appearances, ethic backround, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, or personal convictions or beliefs.
I do a lot of volunteer work at a chess club. There are a variety of people who come in. On any given day we'll have six year olds who want to learn to play better to 93 year olds who still have a trick or two up their sleve. We have people who live in public housing sitting next to millionaires. We have christians, jews, and athiests, blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, staunch republicans to flaming liberals and even the transgendered on occasion. I could care less about any of that as long as we all are there to enjoy the game and bring it to others.
When you sit in front of an eight year old who can rattle off the first 14 moves of a specific opening, then procede to destroy you in a 45 minute game, its an eye opener.
Or watching an eleven year old with clubbed arms play five minute chess and playing a solid game. Or watching the artistry behind another person who is recovering from a serious mental illness. It goes to show that you cannot judge by appearnces alone.
Anyways, I think its important to understand the diference between discrimination and prejudice. Prejudice is to judge somebody before you know anything on them. Discrimination does not have to be defined like that.

Nothing I ever do will be enough. The types of people who play the discrimination card are usually the person of whom is harbouring the prejudice against an innocent party. I treat people how I would expect to be treated myself and try to have no problems with anybody. However in my experience if things aren't going in an individuals way, it will always be because they are this or that and not because that is just the way it has to be. The best thing is to do nothing because it shouldn't even be an issue. As I said some people will use discrimination as an excuse to get there own way.

there is not any longer something incorrect with discrimination. each time we go with between 2 concepts we discriminate. it extremely is authentic despite if we desperate to have espresso or tea, OR despite if we commit to nominate person A or B. i believe the way we are able to furnish up UNFAIR DISCRIMINATION is first of all to be sure that all people could be attentive to what's bigoted DISCRIMINATION, and then to artwork by religious and non secular communities to create a miles better sense of tolerance.

The Government has already done more than enough to prevent discrimination and punish those who are believed to have practised it. This has eroded personal freedom and added significantly to corporate legal and insurance costs, all of which are passed to us, the consumers. Is it mere coincidence that the Prime Minister and his wife are both lawyers?

i look after/teach pre schoolers. i hope that if i can instill a sense of acceptance of all the different people in our diverse society at such a young age then it will not become an issue for them. they will see beyond the colour/religion/disability to see the person within.

If i am speaking to somebody that makes a rasict comment then I make it clear that I do not agree with their veiwpoint - I am always very polite when I point this out as I do not wish to argue with ignorance. You can't always change a bigots mindset, but you are entitled not to have to hear it.

I (a white girl) married a black man, and plan to have lots of mixed race babies. I think that's not a bad effort really.

Nothing. Why should I have to do anything to stop it if I am not a racist? And, why should I have to press #1 for english?
