Sit on the floor and stare at the unit for a minute. Do this with your darling little one there. Start to look around for other slots and crevices. The child withdrew the card and probably re-inserted it in some place that looked like it was right to him. even if it is not in a piece of electronics. Look under and between your VCR and DVD players. Would it fit under the TV? Get a bright flashlight to help you look. (if you want to see something you need to put some light on it) Look inside the VCR slot. Look under the table/ stand or rug. It probably is not very far from where it was purloined. The child might have even tried to put it back but he probably lost it before he had a chance.

If this doesn't work you might try putting a valueless credit card (like my Kroger shopper card or my EB games discount card) in th esky viewing card slot. Let your darling tyke see you do it. Then sit back with a book and a glass of wine. The child may repeat the original offense.

Do you have an old video recorder near your digital box, DVD, etc? Try looking for your sky viewing card where you insert a video. You might find it there.

Where did he (or she) pick it up from? Go there. Get on your hands and knees adn pretend to by a baby. Crawl around and look at things from the baby's eye level. Stop and pretend to chew on it for a moment. What looks like an interesting place to put things?

Thinking like a baby is a very useful skill.

My one year old likes to put stuff under the refrigerator and under the couch. I even found a toy in my Sub Woofer! (it was rattling)

Try in the video, the dvd or cd player or even the toaster....in fact any where that has a slot for shoving things in.

Dvd player, video player, underneath the sky box (mine used to like that one). In the tumble dryer? Mine once hid my purse in there!

Wherever their is a nook or cranny, my daughter used to take mine all the time, and I found it most of the places everyone has suggested.

You can bet it is under your nose, waving at you.

Its really annoying. lol

Hope you find it soon.

Check the air vents in your house I used to put EVERYTHING in there when I was little, when we had the ducts re-done, my dad found almost $200.00 in change and bills I had "stolen" and put in a safe spot!
