Hi it depend on the situation, i the water drowns you, if you get in the bath for example and try it you cant because your body wont let you. But if for example if you walk in to the see or of a bridge, then your body would still fight not to drown as you wouldnt want to really but you would have no choice of getting out of the water. So The answer is no you cant drown yourself if you do try it. You cant strangle yourself with your bare hands either this is the same thing but you can tie a noose form your neck and strangle that way.

Just share the 50p, problem solved

You can actually drown yourself in a teaspoon of water. Once in the lungs. You are drown. Hide the spoons, give the mrs 50p, and go to the lake.....find out properly, if you have no spoon.

I used to know a person who tried to drown her self on a regular basis. She had dementia and was very young only in her teens. She never managed it because she was always protected, but i really think she would have if she could. It was probs in her more lucid moments that she felt so awful she wanted to do it. She was such a lovely little person and did have some happy times as well.

Yes you can drown yourself, but sevral people said you could drown yourself with a teaspoon of water. This is incorrect if you inhale water you will naturally cough most back up (Natural reaction) and even if it does get into your lungs it will be absorbed by the lung tissue. It is very uncomfortable but very far drom deadly.

If you mean dunking your head in the bath and not coming up for air, no, I very much doubt you could physically restrain yourself from surfacing, the bodies basic survival instinct will kick in.

Obviously one can tie bricks to themselves and jump off a pier and drown themselves that way, but that goes without saying.

Yes, tie strong nylon round your ankles and the other end to something very heavy. Throw it off a bridge into deep water (self attached) and by the time you've got anywhere near untying nylon in the murky water you would have drowned!! Please don't try it as you said you are only trying to win a bet!

I hope so, for the last week i was thinking of hanging from a long drop with the knot to the left hopefully to break the neck, then i started to think of tying a big brick round the neck and jumping of the overflow at the reservoir

Short answer: YES!! You can drown in less than an inch of water. If you really want to drown yourself, fight all tendencies to pull yourself up out of the water.

when the drowning becomes mortal , your body will know that it's dying and you're not doing anything,so it'll take the control with the kick-in of the basical survival instinct.you'll swim out,rip the tape of,whatever.

So if you wanna drown yourself you need to make sure that your body doesnt interface.(watch "the life of david gale" for a perfect example)

Yes, one can drown off of a teaspoon of water, if it goes down the wind pipe the right way! Try snorkeling, that tube let's the water go straight to your lungs!
