If your wife is with another man and she's the one who asked for the divorce, it sound as if she has moved on and its time for you to do the same. Stop holding on to the past and besides its not fair to the woman that you are with now. She's living in the shadow of you ex wife because your heart still beats for your ex wife. Don't take the woman you are with through any pain because she sound like the rebound woman. If you can't be with the one you love then love the one you with.

Well, I think U are answering your own questions just by asking them. You really ought to think long and hard about what you are putting me through.... you have never indicated to me that you blatenly DON'T love me..... you have just mentioned that you feel it but can't say it. In reading some of these responses... it appears that a lot of these people, who have unbiased opinions, may be right on the money. I am beginning to feel more and more that this really is a "rebound" thing for you. I am getting clarity from finding these questions that you are posting on the internet.... but it is really sad that I'm not getting this clarity directly from you. Have I just enabled you to continue your pattern of indecission about life until your ready to leave me on your own accord? That's what it feels like after finding these questions on the internet. I guess I shouldn't be hurt by it, nor should I be surprised. But knowing is half the battle.... now I need to ask you "do I stay or go?" Yep... it's me again.

First - get a divorce!
Second - why did you jump into a new relationship so fast? You have to be able to be alone before you can be with someone new. You are not being fair to your new friend. Get your act together! Get your own place. Stand on your own feet! Learn to LOVE yourself before you try to love again. It's no good to pine over someone you can't have. You are still hurting. You need to let go! I'm not telling you to dump your new friend! Just to give it some space so that you can heal and be whole again.

my heart fells so sad for your situation. dont stay in the current relationship if you know it wont go any further. it's not fair to her to tie her down with expectations of a future when your heart belongs to someone else. be honest with the BOTH of them. call your wife...communicate. i dont know what really went on in your marriage, and sometimes, there's no easy answer or qick bandaid...but if you feel that the two of you can come together and work out the differences that separated you, then go for it. take some therapy, maybe you're just holding on to the memory of what you and your wife shared and not the actual events. thinkabout the consequenses and then come to your decision. you have the answers inside of you.

that's really beautiful that after 17 yers you still acknowledge that you love the same woman.

Does your ex know and feel this from you? why did she stray in the first place - 17 years is a big chunk of time
will you be able to get over the fact she has been with someone else?

give it a try and see where it leads you

It's ok to have a new relationship. You will know when you're ready to let go of your (ex)wife. But please don't get married if you are absolutely not in love with the other lady. Just having great sex is ok too.
But if you still truely love your wife ,go and fight for her . A good marriage is always worth saving !!

This is not your own problem. Just for avoiding the boredom of sex people come into relationships and get into complications.
For a longer period of happiness you should go back to your first wife. She too will realize the new relationship is not as worth as she thought. When the pleasure in the new relationship (mostly due to new partners in sex) will die down both of you will realize what challenges life offer along the way.
happy reunion!

well if your wife asked for a divorce, then obviously she doesn't feel the same. so you might as well find someone since you are not happy with this woman. You are wasting time.

Don't stay without love because maybe the time you are wasting on a relationship without love could be the time you can use to fall in love again with someone else

I'd fight for my marriage. It sounds like you have a forgiving heart and that is rare. I say fight. That is your WIFE. Let no man tear asunder what GOD has put together. He is on your side and so am I (if that means anything to you).
