Freakin' is not a bad word. But it is slang for a word that is.

Sometimes, some words represent other words.
Like "darn" is a softer version of "damn"
so "freakin" is a softer version of the "F" word. But it says the same thing since it means the same thing.
Therefore, the word "freakin'" is the same as saying the "F" word, so best not to use it, unless you are willing to pay the consequences.

Depends on the context and who you are talking to. I use the term all the time, but I am not one to use the F word in public out of respect for others. But in any case if you are being censored for using this word, then you may not want to use it around someone that says it is bad.

Depends on which version, or what you are trying to say
He's really freakin, somebody should help him = OK
That freakin SOB should be... = Bad word, or at least a reference to a bad word

Yes! It's just a way of trying to make an unacceptable word more acceptable. Let's face it, the definition didn't change with the variation in pronunciation.
f***ing = freaking;
sh** = crap;
G-dda**= goshdarn;
Jesus= jeez
(the last two are offensive to many religious people, and prior to the 1970's, were rarely, if ever, used--not even in the movies!)

Yes and no. Technically, it's not a bad word. But if you're using it to replace the F-word, then it is a bad word because of the intent.
