What do Muslims think of what Ayatollah Khomeini had to say about the "religion of peace" ?

The Ayatollah Khomeini – the religious/ideological inspiration for both Iranian president Ahmadinejad and Hizballah leader Nassrallah — had this to say on the subject:

"Those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. … Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors!If there any ambiguity, any wiggle room in this remark I’m not perceiving it."

He also said:
If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, an ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrements become impure, and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed and as quickly as possible and burned.

Eleven things are impure: urine, excrement, sperm...non-Moslem men and women...and the sweat of an excrement-eating camel.

I have known a few Iranian women. Khomeini had the entire family of my friend, Fahrnaz killed. The only reason she survived was because she was visiting an aunt in England at the time. I had another friend, Mastaneh, who was from Tehran and grew up during the Iran/Iraq wars. Both of them lost loved ones and lived in terror because of Ayatollah Khomeini and his supporters. Everyone should study Islam in all its genres and understand where some Muslims are about love and peace and others are about war and terror. Having said that, I don't see where the U.S. is much better.

I dont think its fair to ask muslims because most do not consider him to be so, plus you have to understand that there are different types of muslims, and not all follow blindly.
This man has single handedly ruined thousands and thousands of lives, the lucky ones where killed , we are talking about his own people here. He is what they see as the Hitler of Islam, so educate yourself and know that they are not all the same and not all want hate and war. Theres a struggle with everything thats going on today, a few people can distroy an image of something good and pure and the muslis are suffering because of a few idiots that have great harm but not to the wasterns only but to the muslims who want nothing more than to see their children grow in peace.

ask real Muslims this question and they will tell you that that Khomeini don't talk on behalf of Muslims he is shia and if you read what they say about Prophet Mohamed you would be shacked! no one dare to say wat the guy says about Islam and Muslims i think he need to go bake to his teachers and learn about the real Islam the way of life that more than 1 billion ppl believe on not wat him and ahmadinejad and nasseallah believe.
