I don't care who say it or who started it.
I believe that it is wrong to say the word, period.

I see it all over this forum and it's getting quite old.
Let's agree not to say the word.

You know I agree, I am so tired of everyone thinking they can use a word that is opressive as that one... other words are like that as well but I wont mention them either... I think that it is rong no matter who you are.. the other thing is I think that people are getting so used to seing a certain race using the word and thinking it is ok because they are used to it.. then you have say a few friends that may be darker than one of their friends and the lighter friend to fit in says it and the darker friends get offended.. well if they are all friends.. what is rong with it?
HELLO it is rong for any of them to say it.. but because one race has abused it for so long .. are we giving reparations all of a sudden to another race to be the only race to have carte blanche to use the word...???? I dont think so .. rong is rong.. and 2 rongs dont make a right....
thats my story and im sticking to it...

As one who has lived the last 30 years being referred to as one, yes I'm tired of it. I'm also tired of the double standard that as long as it is said within a certain race it's a term of endearment. But if someone outside that race uses it it's a fighting word. It started out as derogatory and it should stay that way regardless of who is using it.
However, in this country we do enjoy freedom of speech. Even if it's wrong--per our Constitution we can say what we want. I answer to a higher power and using derogatory language of any kind whould be something I know God would disaprove of greatly and it's from him that I take my ques on right/wrong.

i do no longer think of that anybody must be referred to as b***h's or hoe's era! no longer in song or the different communicate board. women are no longer b***h's and hoes and if that's all a rap artist can sing approximately, then they do no longer look to be lots of a musician or artist in my books. very almost each rap/hip hop music has some variety of connection with b***hes and hoes and it has to offer up, and the only those that could reason it to offer up are the followers. they are able to nevertheless make relaxing song for human beings to take heed to with out consistently demeaning women. that's thoroughly ignorant for human beings to think of that that's ok. and much greater ignorant that black human beings think of that that's ok to call one yet another those vial names and then cry while others call them those names.

I'm torn on the situation. I don't like the word, but I also believe that words aren't 'good' or 'bad' in themselves. I do not like when a racist calls a black person a n*gger, but I don't think I would mind if everyone used it as a word for every race. I'm white and I've called myself a n*gger before, and some of my white friends. It's kind of like calling someone a f*ggot, but meaning 'b*tch' and not 'homosexual'. Duality plagues me.

seriously, no other word in the english language is feared as much as this word... news casters dont even say it.... to me, slavery should be just as offensive of a word... it held a huge meaning... i dont get it... i am sick of the word. and why are only african americans allowed to use it?? Holocaust victims are able to talk about their past... and the lives that were lost... we seem a bit off dont we?

Although I don't like the word and consider it offensive, it is counter to the American ideal to ban it.
