thanks for the advice>. I'm not agry at all. I also have a 19 year old that my husband and i made pay rent$100.00 a week with chores.He's now out on his own with all well. My hsband also knew that his son was to put money away.When we found out that he wasn't saving he made an excuse for him.But he will tell our daughter to do her chores.And she does with force lol!My husband is stating to say i'm a *****.And i tell my husband i may be the right person for the job but not the only person for the job. Am i being selfcenterd?

No, don't feel bad or even apologetic. This is your house too and everyone who lives under your roof will have to follow your rules as well. It's quite understandable that your husband would stick up for his son because that is his son but he should treat all his children the same and shouldn't single out one. Your daughter might end up feeling resentful if she sees that her dad is taking the son's side all the time.

Also...u have to start setting ground rules for the son. At 19, he's more than capable of being responsible. If he wants to stay at the house, he either has to pay rent or help around with chores. He can't be a freeloader and if your husband doesn't start putting his foot down, his son will become one. Tell your husband to stop being an enabler.

Self centered no. You are right. you are not the only person that should be correcting the kids. you have done your part and more . it is time he joins in and helps you .
