Did Elizabeth kiss Jack because she really had feelings for him or did she do it only so she could trick him?...poor Will...

She did it for both reasons... the compass showed that she wanted Jack because it kept pointing to him. But she knew that if she acted on her feelings, she could trick him and handcuff him to the ship.

Personally, I think Elizabeth kissed Jack to pave the way for Pirates of the Caribbean 3!

Elizabeth kissed Jack because she wanted to trick him into the cuffs. Thats all. But I think Will might have thought that she had feelings for him, but she didn't.

She kissed Jack in order to trick him. When she kissed him, she was able to put the handcuffs on him so that she could put the handcuffs on him so that the sea monster could take him to repay his debt to Davey Jones. But Will took it as if she'd kissed him out of passion for him, but in a way I think it was meant in both sentiments. Will saw it as a passionate kiss and never saw that Jack was Handcuffed to the railings when Elizabeth jumped into the rowboat. I can't wait for the next movie to come out.

She Kissed him to cuff him, but she wanted to anyway. Jack's the Han Solo, Elizabeth's the Leia and poor old oh so noble Will is Luke, well we all know what we thought after the first Star Wars movie...and we all know we were wrong.
Does that make Orlando the new Mark Hamill....?

Yeah, I know that movie was so long by the time it got over I didn't care what was going on. I think she kissed Jack to trick him though, but why she wants to save him from davey jones is beyond me. I mean she just got rid of the guy why save him?

Just to trick him. She knew that Jack liked her, so that made it easy for her to trick him by kissing him.

I liked the movie, but the ending confused the heck out of me. I didn't know what was going on. I was seeing water, a boat, a giant sea monster, monkies ~ I have no idea what that was all about.
