Your DVD player may not support the format of the disc you burned. Only the manual can tell you the types it will support. You can also look it up on the manufacturer's website.

Some discs need to be finalized (closed) for it to play.

Is it VCD format or SVCD format? Not all players support all formats. I have discs that will play on my one player, but will not play on another.

Check to make sure the disk's you're using are compatible with your player/ burner.

Get a job and buy your music and movies. You will have no problem playing them then. :)
