ok so one of my keys is just staying down and not coming up. if you play the cromatic scale and when you get to the E natural going to the F, the key next to the pointer finger isn't coming back up and it doesn't make that song sound right... so does anyone know what i could do to fix it cause my band teacher won't be able to fix it probably and i can't take it to the shop because i have a concert that i have to play in..

help?

the finger i meant was tha right hand. when you have your hand in the position for a F you only have our pinky and pointer finger on your right hand.. well im talking about the key that is next to the pointer finger on the right hand

Take a regular piece of paper and put it under the key and press it closed and gently pull out the paper. Repeat it a few times or enough times until it doesn't stick anymore

If the key is sticky, try cigarette paper. Place one under the key and gently pull. It helps clean the keys off. You can try a small screwdriver set if the screw holding it is loose, but if that doesn't work, try taking it to your nearest repair shop and try explaining that you have a concert soon. They may be able to fix it in a short amount of time.
