Why won't Steadman marry Oprah? You mean why won't Oprah marry Steadman? She has the upper hand in that relationship. She's wielding all of the power. It's her choice. Trust me, if she wanted to be married, they would be married tomorrow.

I watch Oprah a lot, and the only thing I have ever heard her say about it is, no she will not marry, and used a situation she was talking about as an example of the reason why she will not.
Oprah is 52, a little old to be starting a biological family safely, but that would be her business, not mine. If what she has works for her and Steadman, why not, they have been together a long time.
And she did flirt with Jamie, didn't she?

As far as I now Oprah did not want to get married in the first place. Good for her! Marriage is a wonderful thing but you have to want it for yourself. Men always think women are waiting around to get married and now women are doing what is right for them. Advice to Oprah if considering marriage PRE NUP!!

Oprah said not too long ago on one of her shows that the reason she never got married was because she 'doesn't want to lose my identity".
She believes when people marry they lose their identies or the sense of who they are and they merge identities together.
