Jesus, calm down. It is totally normal to want to know someones age for lots of reasons. Perhaps you are good at your job and they are surprised at your capabilities at such a young age. Do you want them to have a crush on you? Wait and see what else they hit out with and decide then.

How long have you worked at this place? Perhaps if you, were like a new hire and young, the person who asked this question is wondering what type of qualifications you had in your life to do this job. Plus, he could think that Oh My God, if they're (the company) is hiring people like you that his job is going out the door.
Or just perhaps you're over-thinking a simple question. Perhaps they were simply curious... because you look older than you actually are...perhaps they know a single person they think you might like, and wanted to see if you were in that person's age range...perhaps they find you attractive and were determining if you were in their age range...
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. If something further comes from it, then deal with that...but for now treat it as a simple question of curiosity...

Why try to control something which in principle is uncontrollable??? There is no way of knowing what he/she meant, even if you ask him/her, you wouldn't know for sure, would you? The person could lie. There are lots of alternative reasons why people ask for the age of others: breaking ice, curiosity, beeing nice, making a social situation comfortable?
The question is: Should you spend much time wondering, when it's impossible to know?

You have to use other things that that person also askes to know if there is anything there for you to be thinking about. You can't make a whole story out of one question.
Perhaps you're the one interested in him and should just find a way to let him know rather than trying to figure out what he intends.
If he is interested in you, you will know.

There are a plethora of reasons, for goodness sake!
"Having a crush on you" would be way below the halfway point of possible reasons.
It's a common ice-breaker question.

Maybe he's thinking the job performance fits the age. Maybe you need to do better at your work.
