I know the obvious like the Temptations, Al Green even Michael Bolton but I'm sure I heard someone else singing it and it is now doing my head in.

According to the Guinness book of hit singles neither AL green or the temptation`s ever released this song . although it may be on some of their albums it was`nt an official release by them so they don`t count

u may have heard 2.4 family sing it they released it 1998 stayed at number 1 for about 6 wks tehy changed it a bit by adding a bit of rapping not heavy rapping tho they done a bril job on a classic took me ages to find lol
