This is a great question. American Football is highly respected by in Australia by the Rugby League Community for there athletic abilities and the copious amounts of money they are paid as professionals. There are a few forms of Football that i know of other than Gridirion. Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Australian Rules and Gallicei Gay Football, lol. Well american football is extremly slow game always stop starting, then as funny as it is has a giant tape measurer. All the other games hardly stop excerpt for rugby Union has penalties is a bit more complex. They Were a lot of padding also. So not easy to understand, wear to much padding and is a very slow long game, though there is a lot of hype to the game.

American football is a unique sport that many people don't understand. It also has very limited times when you can watch it. Baseball, basketball, and soccer are played all week. Football for some reason is only played one day a week and everyone plays the same day.
As for the padding, we need it because Americans know how to hit. If foriegners were such tough players they wouldn't all be placekickers.

American Football is just twisted rugby and people over the world prefer the original RUGBY, no bulky protection to carry and stuff, get tackled, break bones, face it like a man!
I'm in 2nd row position for my school team.

I can't stand most of the other American sports (esp basketball) but I do quite like American football. I just can't get attached to any team.

The game play is slightly more complicated than soccer, the apes that watch regular football are too dumb to understand American football, i feel sorry for them sometimes but then remember they are barely pond scum and of little use to evolution so **** em.

The rest of the world can't find that many big guys to play. They need to make it a country wide thing just to find the talent to field. World League of American Football is very fun to watch though.

The rest of the world loves soccer. I think the better question is what is it about soccer that Americans don't get.

I'm American and I don't "get" American football.
It's not fast paced enough.
The premise is silly, you have 4 "downs" to make a first "down" and then the second time you make a "down" its still called a "first down". Seems as though the creator couldn't count very well.
