I seldom watch television but last night there was a program on Discovery about the Waco, Texas incident and the Brach Davidians.
To those that saw the program I am speaking of, what are your thoughts?

Well, I thought koresh was mad personally and I thought his followers were misguided.
But, from what i have understood about it, they were not threatening anyone (although they had a arms cache). The government agency could have done a lot more to settle the matter peacefully, without bloodshed.
Unfortunately, as with much government action these days it leaves a bad smell and feels kind of sinister to me.

I know about them, I didn't see the program.
I believe the government basically murdered them. Remember it was the Clinton administration with the lovely Janet Reno being the main culprit.
The gvt way overreacted in this situation.
Can you imagine what would have happened if the GW Bush adm did this? The press would (in this case rightly so) have crucified him for this wrongdoing.
This event way underanalyzed by the major media, its a shame.

I remember seeing this on TV when it was actually happening and always thought to myself how such people come to be? I was at the time frightened and in some werid way mad at how everything played out on television.

I remember seeing it live on TV. He was a nut, mistakes were made and his believers were killed either by their own hand or those of the ATF. End of story.

the guy was a crazy person who was in my opinion a pedifile. Its a tradigy but it is over and i pray for all involved.
