opinions on the second amendment?

i have to debate why i favor the second amendment of the u.s. constitution. what are some key points i need to make? and what are some points the opposing team might bring up that i need to prepare for? thanks for the help.

If I am correct, I believe the second amendment was the right to bear arms. I think that this amendment should not be valid any longer, because we don't need to have guns for self defense anymore, except in war. That's just my opinion, good luck!
