I am doing a social studies project on american colonies and my colony is Delaware. There is like nothing special in Delaware and I have to do a non written part of this project. Like a recipe, a children's book, a broshure. etc.
she said just to be creative. I kind of wanna do a recipe so is there any famous foods in Delaware?? Or if you could just tell me some famous landmarks and stuff in Delaware. Thanks bunchesss.

I live in Delaware and ther is a lot special here. There is a state park thats hold a WWII compound. We are famous for our seafood crab cakes in particular. We are the First State. Cape Henlopen State Park is where the WWII compounds are and they are still standing. We have the famous Pumpkin- Chunkin, look it up on the internet. Dover Air Force Base is in Dover. Give me more time and I will think of more

As far as a recipe. There is no staple Delaware meal. Peaches, chicken and corn are bog industry. Delaware was once the peach state so perhaps a peach pie. Chicken and dumplings are very popular.

In Delaware, there is the Cape May Lewis Ferry that goes from Lewis Delaware to Cape May, New Jersey.

There is a Nascar race track in Dover, Delaware.

Rehobeth Beach is a very popular tourist attraction. Delaware is also known to be a tax free shopping state.

Seafood and chicken are very popular foods, so you may be able to find a recipe. Mountaire Farms and Allen Foods are 2 large chicken companies in Delaware. They may have recipes on their corporate websites.

Delaware was the first to sign up for the United States of American and ratify the Constitution and it is named for the Delaware Indians who lived in that region. You could do something about the Delaware Indians...
