Sorry, I didn't make myself clear enough, does the universe give them easier and better lives, to compensate for things like having to be pregnant, pee sitting down, and have periods.

The universe is a large place... even the earth is. Many Muslim women, for instance, certainly do NOT have "easier and better lives," as they live in oppressive states. More liberated women in western societies may have an easier life, though I would probably have to experience life first-hand (as a woman) to find out for certain. Personally, I like being a man. I can handle the responsibility, I can pee standing up, and I have an easy time scoring hot women with my looks and charm.

WHAT EXCUSE ME?

When was the last time a male had to give birth to a child. Or deal with constant cramps every single month? and then in a cruel twist of fate replace the cramps with hot flashes and hormonal imbalance, not to mention the lack of childbearing after a certain age? Do you know how much big boobs hurt your back, or how it is impossible to sleep on them?
What about the fear of getting pregnant? No boys worry about that, hey they could just leave their knocked up girlfriend. Have you ever enjoyed the pains of a pelvic exam?Maybe you would like to try to shave your legs in a crrowded shower stall! Or breastfeeding! Do you know how much that hurts?

By all means, genetically, woman are prettier. And yes we can bear life and all that jazz. But easier and better lives? I really don't think so!

Most societies place more value on male children than females, so in terms of satisfying their potential, girls probably have poorer rather than better lives.

In rural or agricultural areas, women work harder than men. Both toil in the fields by day, but the women continue to work in the home by night, cooking, cleaning, caring for children, while men often relax and entertain themselves.

Women would appear to have it easier and better during times of war, as the men do most of the fighting and dying. But in a perverse way, the men enjoy the adventure of war, and the women left behind take on the whole burden of work necessary for family survival.

And they also become part of war through the rape and pillaging by the other side during the ebb and flow of battle.

And in some religions, such as Islam, women are severely restricted in their opportunities and especially in their behavior, which is completely regulated by men, as they are essentially the property of men and not vice versa.

And I now have regrets that I took the time and trouble to give a serious reply to what has turned out to have been a frivolous question

No, the universe doesn't give anything easier to either men or women. Our societies do or do not though. In most societies women are seriously abused, in the U.S. society women are put on a pedestal and can literally get away with murder.

So... if the universe were consciously responsible for having a girl be born in the U.S. then it would be giving her a better life than a boy.

"Not at all. We have to work harder for less pay, go through periods and child birth, and do all this while still trying to please a man and get dinner on the table. I have used the fact I'm a woman to pretend I'm helpless so I can get men to do things for me. I hate stupid women but I didn't want to put air in my tires while in a nice dress and white heels and decided it was easier to just ask some guy to do it for me. I do think that men like to be played though and they fall for it every time."

Hey "Princess" If You REALLY COOK(For Your Man)...AND WORK... Then I would say you are a very respectable person and would side with you, but if any of that was bull cuz I know alot of girls these days don't cook... then youz a spoiled lil manipulative biznatch.

God, no!!! It's still a man's world, just look at some of the countries that still believe women should be seen and not heard, can't complete school, nor show themselves in public. There are even religious sects in America that believe that women are here to please the man, and must do as he says, right or wrong. As long as the world has been around, life has been easier for the male.

This is a philosphical question that can't be answered by a "yes or no"; sure, there might be some aspects that favor women, but in the same regards, there are aspects that favor men. What people do to use these advantages is what makes someone's life "easier".

no, i don't think so. look at how women are treated around the world today. even in the "modern" countries it has only been very recently that they have had a say in how their lives are run. in many places women have to work harder than men do in addition to having to be carry children. on top of this heavier workload is less of a say in what happens to them. the situation of women in india, for example, is quite bad.

i think that natural selection has given men far easier lives.

No way... here's why:

Sex is so much easier for boys, less emotional, and our sexual organs are way easier to upkeep.

When boys run, our breasts dont bounce off our chins.

Boys don't have to have the babies.

Come on... it's basic pink vs blue logic. Boys win hands down!
