I'm looking for an RPG video game, preferably for PS2 but i'll take Xbox suggestions. @least a 2 player and something similar to Baldurs Gate. Nothing like Final Fantasy WAAYY too many movies.Would like a magic user in it. Any suggestions please? Already played Champions of Norath

there aren't any movies in final fantasy I, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, or IX. I, IV, and VI are the only good ones though. all are ps1, as is tactics, but tactics has storyesque insiders that are excruciatingly long
if you don't mind going strategy, try the disgaea family, which i'll list. they'll take thousands of hours away from you... trust me. i have a file on la pucelle that's at 80 hours, and i never bothered beating the sixth mission -because all i did was level up my items...

then there's always the harvest moon for ps1, back to nature, much better than save the homeland for ps2

The most innovative RPG game is "Ico". Without going into much detail about the game itself, the buzz was bigger than the hype as a sleeper title. Once you start playing the game, it's hard to put down.
Finding a co-op RPG is like finding a needle in a haystack. But they do exisit with games such as "X-Men: Legends". The best part of the game is the play control for every character. Even though it may not have magic users, thee fun factor is through the roof.

btw to everyone above the ps2 is the best console for rpgs out there easily. and i suggest baulders gate dark alliance 1 and 2 or champions of norrath 2

Check out Dark Cloud 2! I love that game! And it is not a turn-based game. You fight real-time with awesome weapons that you can "build up" their strength! It been out a couple of years, but it is still one of my fave RPGs! It is for PS2! Make sure it is part 2, 1 is not as good!

If you have an X-box 360 then you could try out Oblivion, which is the new Elder Scrolls game.
