I cant really answer that for, you i am black and i do think that black woman are exotic and beautiful,but all woman are beautiful!

OKay, we'll have to look at this from a historical point of view. In European and American society, of course, anyone that you would interact with for the longest period throughout time was white. You go to the butcher's he was white, you play with your friends, they are white, your husband is white, your society is white, etc... Everyone else is viewed from outside since they are not what you are used to seeing everyday. America was viewed as being a white society, and most people probably did not come into contact with people of different races, religions, nationalities. Therefore when Africans came, along with other people, they are seen as other and therefore exotic. If you were the only brunette is a room of blondes you'd be exotic. If you were the only Asian or European in Nigeria you'd be exotic too. If you are a little person you are exotic among all the average sized people.
Nowadays, people are still considered exotic because they are still not what you think when you think of white (or any other category) . Just like when you picture an Italian you don't necessarily think of a person with straight natural blonde hair.

White people pretty much made up the term "exotic" and it doesn't specifically have anything to do with skin color. It just means unusual, and it tends to connote 'beauty in an unusual way.' Early on, white people considered colored people to be extraordinary and fascinating, thus the term exotic came along.

Exotic means to be different or unusual to your normal surroundings. Black people were different to an all white culture. If a white person went to a place where there are all black peole then that white person would be exotic to them. Make sence?

based on psychic input it was foreseen that american white people would spend an inordinate amount of time watching nascar and daytime soap operas, and voting republican. definitely not exotic, eh? ;-)
