VATICAN TRIES TO CALM POPE ROW AS MILITANTS VOW WAR

Reuters reports: “Al Qaeda militants in Iraq vowed war on ‘worshippers of the cross’ and protesters burned a papal effigy on Monday over Pope Benedict's comments on Islam, while Western churchmen and statesmen tried to calm passions.

The statement by an umbrella group led by Iraq's branch of al Qaeda came after the Pontiff said on Sunday he was deeply sorry Muslims had been offended by his use of a medieval quotation on Islam and holy war.

‘We tell the worshipper of the cross (the Pope) that you and the West will be defeated, as is the case in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya,’ said a Web statement by the Mujahideen Shura Council.

We shall break the cross and spill the wine ... God will (help) Muslims to conquer Rome ... (May) God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the mujahideen,’ said the statement, posted on Sunday on an Internet site often used by al Qaeda and other militant groups.

In Iraq's southern city of Basra, up to 150 demonstrators chanted slogans and burned a white effigy of the Pope.
‘No to aggression!’, ‘We gagged the Pope!’, they chanted in front of the governor's office in the Shi'ite city. The protesters also burned German, U.S., and Israeli flags.

A speech by Pope Benedict last Tuesday was seen as portraying Islam as a religion tainted by violence, causing dismay among Muslim states where some religious leaders called it the start of a new Christian crusade against Islam…”

every thing has a bit of truth to it-even if its ment as a scare campaign-the truth it there are zealots out to destroy their enemies--i say the govt has been informed and that the true time it will happen as 9/11 there was no muslim standing outside the door in the morning telling muslims not to go in. for them to die for their god is an honor-its a shame they dont believe Jesus and get saved and learn to love others as they love themselves-there are many peacefull muslims too-its all a matter of choice.

It means that whoever sent you that e-mail, is trying to get you and every other wimp who can't or won't allow to think for themselves, to get cuaght up in the game of who's the enemy.

In other words, why would someone send you this kind of news? To warn you? Because they have your best interest at heart? And how do they know what your best interest is? Because they so say and your too lazy and ignorant to find that out for yourself?

When was the last time anyone attacked you, much less pay attention to you that was a terrorist? Do you know what a terrorist is? Have you looked to see etrrorism in all forms? Or do you think that terrorism is exclusivley for a bunch of "RAGS" 'TOWEL HEADS" "SAND N*GG*RS" "MUSLIMS" "ARABS".

Look sister. You want to feel like your in control? get off your lazy *ss and join the rest of the planet in common sense and reason (which your not using).

The longer you fear of making changes in your perception of the world, the longer you'll get "puppeted" in the fear game.

I think it's bogus... It's pretty weird that none of this appeared in any important news service like NBC, CNN or Fox News... But I don't think we should worry about a new terrorist attack, I mean the FBI is not gonna fall for it twice right?
