In certain states you can sue the para mour, (the person he/she was cheating on you with) for "alienation of affection".This, provided that before the cheating started the two of you had a loving relationship, active sex life. Actually, I don't see why you couldn't sue the cheater for the same. But I've never heard of it, although there is a first time for everything. Basically it's just called a great divorce settlement.

You can sue for anything you want. It is unlikely it would result in any payment in monies. (Divorces now are filed as "irreconcilable differences" sorta "no fault divorces".) If the marriage is over, the cheapest way to end it is by both parties using the same attorney, and both already agreeing who gets what. If each uses a separate attorney, it results in an adversarial position, and the only people who come out ahead are the attorneys. (Don't you just love them at $300-$600 per hour?)

Well - don't know about the spouse - but the "other" person can get sued - depending on the state you live in. It's called alienation of affection. Must more satisfying than nailing the spouse!

That's a civil matter and she would have to have hard evidence that he cheated. Also it will take her more time and money than it's worth.

Hmm...does she have a palimoney agreement? Is the husband rich? Depending on how much money he makes and how good an actress she it, it is a possiblity!

Don't sue. Just leave it alone and move on with life.
