Yes, I was 20 years old and had just had my third ( yes third) child. Ashley had needed a 2 am feeding and I'm in my kitchen holding this child its the middle of the night and I suddenly realize I'm an adult. By the way that child and two others have graduated from high school now, all in the top 10% of their classes. I guess becoming a mother so young it took me a while to realize.

No, and I'm grateful. I'm definitely old enough to be thought of as an adult. I'm relatively responsible and am a productive member of society.....but I have never had that one, defining moment that said "Well, here we are, we've just become an adult."

I definitely still have childlike moments, and I let my inner child out as much as possible. You can be grown up with out having to be adult-ish, wouldn't you think?

You get out and move in with a buddy or two and start living la vida you know. One day you wake up and people are getting married, buying homes and in general growing up. So you go out and get a job, a good one, not working where you wear a name tag. One day you start noticing that you have less and less money, you're making more but there's less. Then you get the phone call. Your payment is late, when are you going to make it. I think that's a good time to realize it!
